Working Girl

There hasn't been a blog entry for a while, but with good reason.......that's right, I've officially become an employed, tax-paying, working member of society! It's a graphic design role for a start-up media events and promotions company who are dealing in some seriously awesome events (which I can't disclose as yet, but look forward to blurbing about them as soon as I can). The company is basically made up of a small gang of film, comic and music lovers and our events include big clients in each of these areas. It's all very exciting and although I've been thrown in at the deep end and swamped with work, I'm really enjoying myself and am just dying for our new office to be ready and to get settled in properly. Our first massive event starts on the 18th June, stay tuned for more info and promotional material. It's going to be the coolest! Art work in the picture is by the brilliant Des Taylor, more about him to come.

The Fantastic Four at 2weeks

Ok, I mean it this time......they can't possibly get any cuter than this. 2 weeks in, and all four have their eyes open and they are starting to get a bit more adventurous - although their legs aren't yet co-operating with their heads! It's still pretty difficult to get any really nice photographs of them (especially the black ones!) as it's just so damn dark in this house, and them spending all their time at the back of our wardrobe doesn't help! I really need a good low light lens, it's on the wish list for when I've saved up some money. Do any of you photographers out there have any recommendations for my Nikon D70?

Here are a couple more photos....just cuz you can't ever have too many kitten photos (in my opinion) - next blog I'll try to have something other than kittens! My blokey's brother and his family are over from Laos this weekend, so I'll try to take some family pics then. I've posted one both colour and desaturated as I can't decide which I prefer - comments are very much welcome if you think one looks better than the other.

Kittens - Days 2, 3 & 4

I swear they just get cuter and cuter!


Look at them all spooning! They all have their arms around each other......


A couple of them are trying to open their eyes already, it's really sweet when they have one eye open and one still closed. Mum is leaving them on their own a little bit more now, which allows us to get closer. I can't wait for them to start running around!
